Amazing IDC Experience
I would recommend Rainbow Reef for any diver looking to go professional. The amount of knowledge between the staff and their focus on making sure you're an amazing professional is well above anyone. I spent a month learning and diving with this operation to become a PADI Instructor and have no bad things to say about them.

Excellent dive boat in Key Largo
I had an excellent experience with Rainbow Reef. The shore staff was helpful in making my hotel reservations, giving me directions to get there, and getting my rental equipment prepared. The rental equipment was in better condition than any rentals I have used from other dive shops. The crew on the boat was friendly and helpful. On the second day, the captain asked me if I had any requests on places to go and he made sure I didn't dive the same site twice. My guides, Nikki and Jesus, were very good at finding and pointing out stuff.

Great, Safe, Fun!
Well, this is the first time that I have ever dived and my father, mother, and I wanted to get my Open Water Certification. I started out by taking the online course which was great. But when we went down there, the experience was amazing. Our guide, Michael D'Heam, started us out in the pool and really helped us out in making sure we knew these skills. all the same we had fun with it. It wasn't a strict class, but we still got stuff done. We actually got so much done that we finished everything for the confined water dive in the first pool session. We break for lunch and then came back for the first open water dive. Yes the first dive was extremely exhausting (since we were facing a very strong current and we all had trouble maintaining buoyancy), but Michael, the boat captain, and all the other guides with the other groups sincerely apologized to all of us and we decided to go to a site that is ideal for beginners (Sand Island). That next dive was just amazing and out guide showed us all the neat aquatic life. The next day, we completed two more amazing open water dives were we saw even more interesting aquatic life. During the course of the training, we got to chat with our guides and they helped us out in finding great places to see and eat. They really showed us the local life. Overall, it was a great experience and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to dive.
