    Magic Island

Club dive at Magic Island. I arrived a little late but there were two others waiting to go into the water. The main group was already in the water doing their dive. We got off o a late start, John lost his mask during the entry, so we spent some time looking for his mask in the murky water. By the time we found the mask, Brandon arrived and joined us for the dive. The main group was coming back in and told us it wasn't worth going. We decided to go anyway, and since I'm pretty familiar with the area, I was leading the dive group. We descended at the usual spot and visibility was probably 5-10 feet at the very most. We stayed close together. I showed them where the swim through was and we followed along the sandy finger and looped back around to our starting position. Despite the murkiness, we were able to spot a few cowries, white tip reef sharks and a couple takos! Other than poor visibility, no other issues during the dive. We returned to the dive flag tie off.

    Sharks Cove

Second dive of the day at North Shore. Split off from the main group to explore the area with Eli. We checked out a few caverns and pukas to the east of the entry point. I really need to invest in a compass because I really didn't know where I was at until we reached a very clear reference point that I almost shot past. I was more or less just following the leader.
